TERESA SEGURADO PAVÃO
Teresa Segurado Pavão was born in 1957 in Lisbon, where she lives and works.
The artist finished Antonio Arroio high school, Lisbon, and graduated in ceramics at IADE, Art and Design University, Lisbon. She attended Gisela Santi’s tapestry workshop and the seminaries of the departments of Design, Painting and Jewelry at Ar.Co, independent art school, Lisbon.
Teresa Segurado Pavão teaches courses of Ceramics and Textiles. She founded the workshop TP in Lisbon.
Having started her career with the exhibition "Tramas e Sortilégios" (1989), at the Museu Nacional do Traje in Lisbon, she has also participated in collective exhibitions in Portugal and abroad, she has also participated in diverse group exhibitions in Portugal and abroad.
Among her major solo exhibitions the following deserve to be highlighted especially: "A quatro mãos" (2021), Convento dos Capuchos, Almada; "A Estratégia da Aranha" (2019), Casa Atelier da Fundação Arpad Szenes-Vieira da Silva, Lisbon; "A Fábrica" (2018), Appleton Square, Lisbon; "SALA" (2015), Galeria Belo-Galsterer, Lisbon; “3553” (2014), MUDE, Lisbon; “A terra é um cadinho onde os minerais amadurecem" (2011), MUNHAC Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência, Lisbon; “Segredos e relíquias” (2009), FRESS - Museu de Artes Decorativas Portuguesas / Ricardo do Espirito Santo Silva Foundation, Lisbon.
